A local occupational license is required for
most businesses. Licenses are issued by the City of Florida City and
Miami-Dade County. Licenses must be renewed each year, as all
occupational licenses expire on September 30th each year. Please
contact the Building and Zoning Department prior to operating your
new business for further information.
The Code Enforcement
Department is responsible for enforcement and levy of fines should
you fail to obtain an occupational license.

appropriate regulations and living standards.

Florida City, it is important that everyone insures their property
is kept in good condition, and that their businesses comply with the

board to the City Commission. Regular Meetings are scheduled for
the first Thursday of each month at 7pm., in the City Hall
Commission Chambers. If special meetings are called, they will be
advertised in advance. |

Code which regulates the use, size and location of buildings and
