A local occupational license is required for
most businesses. Licenses are issued by the City of Florida City and
Miami-Dade County. Licenses must be renewed each year, as all
occupational licenses expire on September 30th each year. Please
contact the Building and Zoning Department prior to operating your
new business for further information. If you have any

The Code Enforcement
Department is responsible for enforcement and levy of fines should
you fail to obtain an occupational license.

holds the responsibility for insuring that residents comply with
appropriate regulations and living standards.

Florida City, it is important that everyone insures their property
is kept in good condition, and that their businesses comply with the

board to the City Commission. Meetings are scheduled for 7pm, on
an as needed basis. They will be advertised in advanced.

Code which regulates the use, size and location of buildings and
other structures within the city. Please contact the Building and

structure within the Florida City limits requires a
