CORONAVIRUS COVID-19:

Published: 3/1/2020

The City of Florida City is working with Miami-Dade County officials in monitoring COVID-19, part of the coronavirus family. State of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis issued an Executive Order and Surgeon General Scott A. Rivkees declared a Public Health Emergency on March 1. It is important to wash your hands with soap regularly to avoid potentially spreading the disease and/or using hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed or unsantized hands.

Any individuals in Miami-Dade County who have traveled to an area where a Warning Level 3 or Alert Level 2 or higher Travel Health Notice has been issued, or who believe they may have been exposed to COVID-19, should call the Florida Department of Health at 305-324-2400. This should be done prior to traveling to any medical office or facility.

Contact the Florida Department of Health’s dedicated call center for COVID-19 questions and concerns: Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to midnight. The phone number is 866-779-6121, or you can email COVID-19@flhealth.gov.
